Welcome to the website of our twinning committee. Saint-Marcel is twinned with the towns of Nüdlingen (Germany), Cerreto Guidi (Italy), and Bishop’s Castle (Great Britain), and sponsors the town of Soum (Senegal).

The concept of town twinning was originally conceived to promote friendship after World War II, while also encouraging trade and tourism. The twinning program began in Saint-Marcel in 1997. This wonderful human adventure allows us to discover other cultures, other ways of life, and other ways of thinking. It is also an opportunity to share our values, our expertise, and our projects. Finally, it is a chance to strengthen peace, dialogue, and understanding between peoples.
